How about creating a Father’s Day card in true Mondän style? Inspired by our red and navy suit jackets, this card is not only chic but simple to make!
Red or navy 8.5” x 11” paper
Gold paper or 4 1.5” gold buttons
Step 1: Lay out your 8.5” x 11” paper in landscape. We used Bazzill paper in the color Moody Blue and Classic Orange from Michaels.
Step 2: Fold the paper into thirds but in order to look like our red and navy suit jacket, the outer flaps should be smaller than the middle section.
Step 3: On one of the flaps, fold down from the top to form a triangle. This will be the lapel.
Step 4: Do the same to the other flap.
Step 5: Now it's time to design the lapel. On one of the triangles, cut out a triangle around the middle to form the notch. In addition, cut the top of the lapel. While we cut a straight line, you can also round it out and really make the design yours!
Step 6: Do the same to the other triangle.
Step 7: Finally, it is time to place the buttons. While we cut out small circles from gold paper, gluing on gold buttons is a stylish option.
Step 8: Feel free to let your creativity flow and add more details to make it truly your own design.
Step 9: Write a message inside the card and you are done. It's great!
